Areas of Specialism: Self-Representation, Presence, Active Listening, Verbal and Nonverbal Communication, Speech Clarity, Voice, Confidence

Amy believes that the voice is one of the most powerful and transformative tools for self-expression. As a vocalist and performing artist, she comes to Eloquence with a desire to ignite confidence and authenticity in others. She specializes in voice and all aspects of communication, including verbal and nonverbal, presence, active listening, speech clarity and articulation. Her background in performance is interwoven in her approach to teaching self-representation, as she helps clients cultivate self-awareness and define their own personal and professional style.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Classical Vocal Performance from Chapman University in Orange County. In addition to her career as a jazz, soul, and R&B artist and bandleader, Amy teaches adolescent and adult singers and/or songwriters in her private voice studio; offering creative mentorship as students develop vocal technique and personal fortitude through the use of voice and music. She’s also facilitated workshops for the California Jazz Conservatory, Castilleja School, West Valley College, and the Alum Rock Jazz Program.

Amy is a graduate of MALI (Multicultural Arts Leadership Institute) in San Jose, and served as a fellow for the Hewlett Arts Navigator in 2020, helping to collect resources for artists and arts non-profit organizations amidst the pandemic.

She is extremely passionate about establishing a supportive and uplifting learning environment, whether the subject matter is related to communication or music. Her life’s work is centered in finding and encouraging creative freedom.
